I've known to overthink things, even as small as buying handphones, to a more larger things like finding life partners. Even buying handphones are a major headache for me, since I love to analyse things before buying/doing things. Reading reviews, and most importantly user reviews about particular brand of phones. But even so that doesn't reflect what we going to feel about it, because one of my mantra is 'One man's meat is another man's poison'
Some say buying things is pure luck, its either it work or not but I don't think there is such thing, its for me its just another stupid excuse for some to recommend some brand, aka fanboy or brand-loyal without fact. Buying things over brand is stupid, just because some say its good for them it doesn't mean it worked good on you. Skincare product for example, you need to test one by one, regardless what other say, Clearasil may work well to me but maybe it will make your face worse than a surface of a moon, or toads bottom.
So if reviews and in theory doesn't work then does that mean we shouldn't do any research and abandon all hope? Of course not, that surely absurd. Its like saying if we love somebody we just love in in our heart. Of course buying stuff like candy, flower or anything a girl like doesn't mean they love you, it could mean just a friend, to say sorry etc., but for me that is a symbol, like I say I love Islam, I love Allah, what does I do? Is it just sufficient I just say it in my heart without solah, fasting and other important things like Five Pillars of Islam?
But whatever it is, I trust one thing, if we got the money from halal source, and we buy the stuff for the right purpose, insyaAllah it will work flawlessly. Most of the stuff doesn't work or broken, like car accident, phone got stolen, things broken when you just got it or too soon, it may cause from other reason. It may from halal source, but the money we have is better or should spent someplace else, like if we have wife, kids, etc. or other more important stuff to buy. So think wisely before spending, in anything. Prioritize what important and most important, and check whether its a necessity or just personal needs
