Trip to Beijing; first day

Recently I went to Beijing with my mum, my sis and my cousin family for vacatio. To be honest China is the last place I would look for when I thinking of vacation spot, because even though I not racist I don't really like Chinese people because some reason, mainly from their 'relative' in Malaysia. So visiting China doesn't really ring any bells to me. At first at least...before I see the real China

First main visit is going to Summer Palace, from what the tour guide say its a man made lake made n front of the Palace, but at first I thought of Tasik Shah Alam size when talking about man made lake. I was truly surprised whne I sees it for the first time....My jaw literally dropped when I saw the sheer size of the lake! And the beauty of it, ts just breathtaking
This is the seventeen (17) arch bridge leading to one of the artificial island in the middle. Beautiful isn't it? 2.9 square kilometers, which nearly 3/4 of them are covered with lake!

The rest of the first day is not that interesting, of course I WON'T show about shopping here. I don't stay on Summer Place long enough (and sadly, on the rest of the trip as well) to take picture or know the place better because the lousy package we took that focused more on shopping rather than sightseeing. For me vacation is vacation, not shopping spree. I'll post my 2nd day soon~
