Thank You Allah

No, its not the title of Raihan first album bearing the same name but having said that I really like all of Raihan first album songs, all of them touch me in some ways, some of them even made me cry. What I like about this album is there is little instruments involved, only slight percussion here and there, so the message that they wanted to give really gets inside my heart and mind, a contrast to newer nasyeed band which includes a lot of instruments to attract youngsters which I dont like. I did buy its cassette before (its 1996 when the first album come out, and my mum car only have cassette player and also I only have small boombox to play it at home). The cassette case (which is of course original copy) is bluish transparent color and if put under shade like in glovebox in the car, glows a nice bluish color. Very cool effect to be honest.

Wait a minute, where was I? I getting off topic again. Oh yes, Thank you Allah, yes its the least things we say in everyday life, actually it's supposed to be the most thing we should do in our lives. I tried myself to say thank you to Him as much as I can so I started small. Waking up in the morning and taking shower, I always looks on the palm of my hands, after I wash it a little bit and because of the way the sun shone through the window to my hand shows a glorious network of blood vessel in my hand. I'm really not that fair skinned kind of guy but because of the temperature and the light I could see it clearly, the greenish network on my palm with multiple layer of the vessel, not connected to each other flowing freely in between their own layers, and on the skin surface bears reddish tint showing blood flowing there. My favorite part is on all the joint on the finger there is nice very fine purple-ish colored blood vessel connecting each finger segment, the color is different from any part of the finger, even though all of them bars the same color. It's simply beautiful. And its very mesmerizing, I do I everyday and never gets tired of it. Next time you on a shower where there is sunlight shining you should try it, wash it with cold water, wipe it with your other hand and see it! At that moment, I just say thank you Allah for this, and this alone is good enough to prove there is You who controlling tiny things like this, to the biggest of things like the Sun who shone about 149,000,000 kilometers from Earth.

I always looks for something to thank Him, and I always finds it. Do you ever think why when we going to do blood check for sugar level and such we need to pierce blood on the tip of our finger, why not we pierce close to its source which is on our chest where the heart is, where the pressure is obviously higher? Well the pressure is strong enough to reach on the tip of our finger sending precious oxygen and food that we eat, if not all of the cell in our body will die, just look at people who gets hypothermia and gets frostbite, the cell doesn't get oxygen and food from blood vessel getting frozen and eventually die and become black. But the beauty of it the pressure is not strong enough to cause bleeding everywhere in normal condition, only if its being cut then the blood flows out. The pressure that being pump inside is equalized by atmosphere pressure, which I still remember reading Rakan Sains magazine when I was in standard 5, the pressure acting on our skin is equals to two times the small lorry weight, which is around 14,000kg of pressure if I'm not mistaken! SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, AllahuAkbar. That is all I could say, and its not just me who He controls, there is more than 6 billion individual and counting in this Earth currently which is are the same. And that's not counting any other organism in this Earth. Bees for example its brain is only the size of grain of salt, but it can identify the flower about 6 kilometes away, gets back to its home, dance around to show others where the location of the flower is! There is no compass, no sophisticated GPS software needed, even us with GPS gets lost, but no, not these bees with its teeny tiny brain beats these modern human machinery with 4 GPS satellite pinpointing to our GPS transmitter by a million years. Who created all of this? Allah. So why are we still thing highly of the things that we create if we can't even beat the accuracy of bees even in this modern age? It's because we are both ignorant and arrogant. Read Quran with open heart and minds, you will see how stupid, dumb, and small you (I'm) are as compared to The Creator of All of Things.

I haven't started on my names yet, the meaning of my names means Stars, which incidentally I really like astronomy. Once you go to astronomical scale, everything in this world seems tiny, puny, meaningless. My hair simply raise on just typing this. Let me give you one perspective of what I mean, the Sun which gives its energy to Earth what could fit a million of Earth inside it, is puny as compared to currently largest known stars. Go and Google VY Canis Majoris and see what is the definition of big really mean. If you are too lazy here is the comparison if you are too lazy, if the Canis Majoris is the size of a basketball or soccer ball, try to guess how big our sun is. Size of , tennis ball? ping pong ball? Marbles? Nope, its the same size of a grain of sand! But can we see it in our night sky? Nope, why? Because the distance between it and us is 1.5 kilo parsecs, or 4,900 light years. To give you how far that is, one light year means the distance which of light traveled in one year. How fast light travel you might ask? In one second light travels 300,000 km, yup 300,000 km PER SECOND, the distance of 149,000,000 km which the light travels from sun to Earth is covered in just eight and a half minutes, the fastest man made rockets needs 3 weeks to cover the same distance. To know how far one light year is, just multiply 300,000km with 60 to know how far it traveled in one minute, times another 60 for an hour and times 24 to know in a day. Times that with 365 and you get one year. How far is that? Its close to 10 trillion kilometers, or 10,000,000,000,000 km. Times that with 4,900 to get the distance of Canis Majoris and us and that is not the farthest known objects. The farthest known universe is 46.5 gigalight years. Giga is 1 billion which is 1,000,000,000 (try to multiply with 10 trillion). That is the currently known by scientist, and not the edge of space. Now ask yourself, how big you are again? And still you don't thank Him for what He gave to you?

I put a video of the scale of VY Canis Majoris between our Sun, Earth and Rigel (one of big blue giants)
